Stir Fry Broccoli

Stir Fry Broccoli is really easy to make. Takes just 5 minutes to cook and it's the best dish to prepare is you're busy.

1. Broccoli
2. 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
3. 1 green chili (cut into small pieces)
4. 1 piece of chicken cocktail sausage (minced)
5. 1 tablespoon soy sauce
6. 1 teaspoon oil
7. 1/4 cup water
8. Salt to taste.

1. First you have to boil some water in a pot. Once the water starts to boil, just add the broccoli into the pot and once it changes colour, take it out.

2. In a wok, heat oil. Add the garlic, chilies and sausage.  Stir the ingredients. Then add water and let the sausage cook for 1 minute.

3. Add the soy sauce and salt. Let it cook for a while and then add the broccoli. Stir and cook for another 3 minutes.

4. Serve hot with white rice. ^_^

Yummy!!!! It's time to eat. ^_^

Cucumber Raita

Today's menu is Mutton Curry and Cucumber Raita with basmati rice. Simply delicious. Yum!!! Instead of just using the normal cucumber, I also used Japanese Cucumber and tomatoes.

The Japanese cucumber is greener than the normal cucumber, so my raita looks lovely and tastes good. Appearance is part of what makes our food so appetizing, especially the colours and how you cut your vegies. ^_^

1. Cut tomatoes, cucumber and Japanese cucumber into small pieces into a bowl.
2. Add 2 tablespoon of plain yogurt into bowl and mix. You can add more yogurt if you want.
3. Serve.

The Vow

Watched this movie today. It's this husband and wife who met with a terrible accident, well it wasn't that bad, just the wife sprang out of the window. So she kind of lost her memory and she only remembers her 'during college times' and her family.

Her husband is a total stranger to her. So he tries to make her remember who she is and that they loved each other very very much and bla, bla, bla. But she is totally blur and doesn't remember anything. So you can watch the movie to find out the ending.

Good story. But to me, it's a R-O-M-A-N-T-I-C I was feeling kind of sleepy and... errr bored. No 'hilarious' jokes. Jokes that make you laugh...wakakakakaka. It's just tiny jokes that make you go...haha. So it's not my kind of movie. :)

And so.....hope you enjoy the movie. ^_^

Marmalade from Alice's Shop

I love orange marmalade. Not too sweet and has that slight bitter taste when you bite the orange slices. Here's a special Orange Marmalade from Alice's Shop, Oxford. It's the Alice in Wonderland Shop because it was featured in a part of the original story. Cool!! The orange marmalade is tasty and it was the perfect gift.

Look at Mr.Rabbit, he can't wait to taste the orange marmalade...!!!

Apple Ke Dapple

Craving....craving....craving for Big Apple Doughnut. I had one piece of Big Apple's doughnut for my tea break. That's my favourite Apple Ke Dapple. It's simple and sweet with a little bit of sourish apple chunks in the middle. Love that crispy stuff on top of the doughnut. Wonder what that is? One bite and you'll feel like you're in heaven...doughnut heaven. ^_^

I know it's the same photo repeated. Just want to make your mouth water and your stomach growl and say 'I wan I wan'. Hehehe...! Plus I just discovered a button in my camera to snap photos closer and clearer. So this photos are original and not edited except for the border.

Kelvaragu / Ragi Puttu

I don't know why, but I like the taste of kelvaragu or ragi or finger millet very much. So last night I decided to make kelvaragu puttu for my breakfast and lunch today. Bored eating the restaurant food in Mid Valley. So I thought of bringing home cooked lunch today.

You can eat puttu with banana, it gives that lovely taste, which I really don't know how to describe. But since I haven't got any bananas with me today, I just have to eat the kelvaragu puttu plain. But doesn't matter, it still tastes fantastic. ^_^

My tummy-flattening healthy breakfast and lunch, Kelvaragu/Ragi Puttu.

Rice - 1 cup
Kelvaragu / Ragi Flour - 1/2 cup
1 cup water mixed with 1/2 teaspoon  with salt
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/4 cup (You can add more if you want it sweeter)
Ghee (melted) - 1 teaspoon

1. Soak rice in plain water for 2 hours and grind the rice into flour. Alternatively, you could use grind rice flour (ready-made) from Indian stores. But I prefer making my own.

2. Mix the rice flour and kelvaragu flour and steam for about ten minutes. (You'd know that it's done steaming, when you take the flour mixture with a spoon and it gets lumped together). You can keep this mixture in the fridge and use it anytime you want to make your puttu. I made my kelvaragu puttu the next morning for breakfast and lunch.

3. Sprinkle the salt water onto the flour mixture and mix it slowly. You'd know the right time to stop adding salt water  when the flour gets firm when you press them hard. Like it lumps together.

4. I used the steamer to steam my puttu. So I sprinkled the grated  coconut on to the cloth before adding the flour mixture. Let it steam for about 15 minutes. After you're done, mix sugar and ghee and serve.

Home Deco Fair

Went to home Deco Fair last Friday, 16 March 2012 at Mid Valley Exhibition Center. Well there was bed, wardrobe, curtains, juice maker appliances and everything else that usually is in a Home Deco Fair. But there was this one particular booth I find interesting.

It promotes the Kitchen Composting Bin. I did not take any pictures, but here is the brochure. I scanned and cropped it so you can read all that useful details in the brochure. Just click on the image to view it larger.

Something different than the usual products and it's something to do with the environment. I've got nothing to do with this company, just thought of sharing the information.

The Picasso In Me

What to do when you are extremely bored during the weekends? I feel so lazy to go out of the house because I spend the whole week traveling up and down to work. So I just hate to go out of the house, unless I need to buy something.

Love to read something, but I just bought my storybook last Wednesday and finished it on Thursday. Hehe, that's just me. I can't wait to know the ending. Doesn't matter if it's 500 pages, I still want to know the ending ASAP. ^_^'

So I end up doing some nonsense. art work. You know, I have a bit of Picasso in me.... tsk...tsk...

Those are green chilies. Huge ones from our own farm.... :). Let me get the stool and snap a photo from top.

There you go, JAYNE made out of green chilies, fresh from the farm. That's what happens when you've got nothing else to do. You bring out the Picasso in you. ^_^

Bubble Tea @ Comebuy

'Chocolate. Medium. 70% sugar. No Ice. Bubble.' I ordered my bubble tea. Actually not tea, but chocolate. I don't drink tea or coffee. Waited for 2 minutes. And it came. I have been craving for it.....since morning. I know it's fattening, but I guess, it's okay once in awhile.

Here it is my chocolate bubble drink. Love that chocolaty taste and chewing that bubble. It's made of Tapioca I think, and it looks like black pearls. Enjoyed every sip of it. Bought it at COMEBUY.

See the bubbles....
